Summer, Fall and Winter Camps

Moonstone Riding Academy does offer summer camp. Camp sessions are 4 days long, from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, and include fun crafts as well as hands-on horse time.


During camp, students will learn:

  • Equine safety and basic horsemanship
  • Bio-security and human practices
  • Basic riding skills
  • Grooming techniques
  • Identification and use of equipment
  • Basic anatomy
  • Horse hygiene and health care
  • Nutrition and basic care
  • Farrier work and importance
*Due to Covid rules: students must have own helmet, gloves and boots

If your child has allergies of any sort, please notify us right away so that we may help manage any needs they may have.

What to Bring

Students must come prepared with:
  • Healthy snacks and plenty of water-NO sharing allowed
  • Clothing appropriate for the weather
  • Long pants/riding breeches and boots with a heel
  • Must wear mask or face covering
  • fun attitude 

Students must have their own ATSM/SEI certified helmet.

*if a child students is misbehaved and will not obey the staff/instructors, then parents/guardian will be called to pickup child early. No Refunds given for that day. Child can return for next day if there is more days left in session but must follow rules.  If they do not follow rules, instructions on a 2nd day then child will not be allowed to return for rest of program and there will be no refund of fees.

Rate: $380.00  deposit to reserve spot $150.00 
We only hold three (3) riders per camp session; please reserve your space early!    ( Due to Covid Social Distancing guidelines)
Dates could change due to changes in COVID regional regulations.  If this happens student can either role fee into another open workshop or individual lessons.  

Camp fee : Please call in.  To reserve spot an up-front deposit is necessary.
*Deposit is non-refundable.

With our children being in adjusted schooling this fall during the Covid time we are working on planning some 2 day workshops to help get them out of the house and enjoy learning about horse and horsemanship.
