Day Camp, School Break &Summer Camps 2023

Moonstone Riding Academy does offer seasonal camps during school breaks. Camp sessions include fun crafts as well as hands-on horse time. Students will have a snack/early lunch break. Please pack healthy options, plenty of water, & a electrolyte replacement type drink.  It's recommended that students wear sunscreen, light colored clothing that is form fitting.  Riders are more comfortable in cotton tight plants such as leggings. 


During camp, students will learn:

  • Equine safety and basic horsemanship
  • Bio-security and human practices
  • Basic riding skills
  • Grooming techniques
  • Identification and use of equipment
  • Basic anatomy
  • Tack knowledge and care
  • Horse hygiene and health care
  • Nutrition and basic care
  • Farrier work and importance
*Students equipment to participate:
** students must have own helmet and boots( hard toe, small heel, smooth sole)

If your child has allergies of any sort, please notify us right away so that we may help manage any needs they may have.

What to Bring

Students must come prepared with:
  • Healthy snacks and plenty of water-NO sharing allowed
  • Clothing appropriate for the weather
  • Long pants/riding breeches and boots with a heel
  • Smiling faces and fun attitude 

Students must have their own ATSM/SEI certified helmet.

*if a child students is misbehaved and will not obey the staff/instructors, then parents/guardian will be called to pickup child early. No Refunds given for that day. Child can return for next day if there is more days left in session but must follow rules.  If they do not follow rules, instructions on a 2nd day then child will not be allowed to return for rest of program and there will be no refund of fees.
